Print: 27th Street Lounger

Cairo, Illinois is located at the southernmost tip of Illinois, and is known as "The Gateway to the South". A prosperous community many years ago, Cairo now sits mostly abandoned. It's population, once over 15,000, now barely hovers above 2,000. Many of its residents unfortunately live in poverty. The majority of homes in Cairo sit vacant, waiting to be demolished. This lounge chair sits in one of these abandoned houses, on 27th street. I used my Mamiya C330 with a 55mm lens, and Kodak TMax 400 film. The physical darkroom print is 10"x10".
