Print: Sun-Drenched Chair

I found this armchair inside an abandoned home in Cairo, Illinois. It was a difficult subject to expose for because of the extremely harsh late-afternoon sun. I intentionally underexposed in order to maintain highlight detail. I don't mind the resulting deep shadows (sometimes with no detail), as they give the chair a more ominous and mysterious presence. I used my Mamiya C330 with a 55mm lens and Kodak Tmax 400 film. The physical darkroom print is 10"x10".
